Background
Kevin was born in the suburbs of Chicago and continues to be a die-hard Cubs fan.
In his teens, Kevin worked at a local service station and volunteered with the Flossmoor Fire Department at the age of 16. He eventually served as a firefighter, engineer, and EMT 1. In 1973, Kevin joined the U.S. Navy as a Corpsman, deploying with a Marine unit as a medic in Vietnam. The remainder of his Navy service was spent onboard an amphibious ship and at the Naval Hospital in San Diego.
After his military service, Kevin briefly worked as a contractor for the Secret Service before transitioning to the large event industry. He served as the General Chairman of the 1984 Los Angeles Open Golf Tournament and worked as a trade show contractor until 1994, when he became the Director of the NAMM Show. He produced large-scale shows worldwide for nearly 20 years.
Following his time at NAMM, Kevin consulted for several major events, including the Emmys, Grammys, Rose Parade, Coachella, Stagecoach, and U.S. Open Tennis. He joined the Rock Church in 2016, initially serving as the Safety Captain at San Marcos campus before becoming a staff manager overseeing Training, Events, and Investigations.
Kevin is also a Chaplain and K9 Handler for the San Diego Fire Department and has been named San Diego Volunteer of the Year twice. He currently serves as the Co-Sector Chief of the InfraGard San Diego Faith-Based Sector.
