
Background
Matt Brown is a board director for the InfraGard National Members Alliance, an FBI-affiliated independent nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting U.S. critical infrastructure and the American people by cultivating communications, collaboration and engagement between the public and private sectors. Through this alliance, a unique knowledge base, work and resources of key stakeholders are united to mitigate threats to national security, improve resilience, and strengthen the foundation of American life.
Matt was previously the president of InfraGard San Diego Member Alliance. His career includes five years combatting hate groups and violent extremism for a national non-profit organization. He also served six years as the Homeland Security Program Manager for the San Diego Unified Port District. In this role he worked with key stakeholders in the Port ofSan Diego protecting the diverse, economic driving critical infrastructure in the port region.
Prior to his work with the Port of San Diego, Matthew served a 24-year career with the FBI. In this capacity he investigated violent crime led state, local and federal law enforcement personnel in long term investigations and intelligence work on the FBI’s Joint Terrorism TaskForce.
